In Safe Hands
We understand how important your Edinburgh home is to you and we will take as much care of it as if it were our own. When we come and meet you and see your home for the first time, we’ll give you helpful feedback on anything you need to do to get the property ready for short lets. We’re skilled at matching the right guest with the right property, and won’t let guests book until we’ve had a chance to talk with them about their requirements.
We’ve built up an excellent relationship with local trades-people over the years, working only with people we know will respect your home as much as we do. From time to time, problems will arise: if they do, you’ll have peace of mind that we’ll find solutions quickly and efficiently.
Louise visited us personally to explain the ethos of the company and gave us sound advice on what to do. We were looking for a sound, experienced company with whom we could have a long relationship based on trust and respect, and we seem to have landed perfectly!
Peace of Mind
You may live in the same building or on the other side of the world as your short-let property, and we are able to offer a service which is tailored to suit how involved you want to be.
We can do as much or as little as you need us to do with regards to organising changeover cleans on your behalf and undertaking any maintenance when required. We take care of handling keys with guests too and operate a guest 24 hour emergency phone line.
With Dickins I have complete peace of mind, no worries at the back of my mind, which you often find with other agents! That’s huge. And you have really excellent attitudes, immediately returning emails and your personal approach.
Festival or All Year
While we look after properties all year round, we also take them on just for the Edinburgh Festival period. Once your property is photographed and is on our system, we can restrict when we market it to those times when you’re away and want it to be let. It’s the perfect opportunity to make some money out of your home which otherwise might sit empty.
We have built up excellent relations with quality guests who book with Dickins regularly in the festival and throughout the year.

The majority of owners whose apartments we look after all year round wish to use their homes themselves from time to time. All you need to do is let us know when and we can arrange everything else.
