Once you've climbed the stairs to this third floor home, you enter your own private world with amazing views and the sound of birdsong. This a a much loved home. The style is colourful cosy, Scandi chic and sustainability with polished wooden floors. You'll find lots of interesting objects from the owners travels and be treated to lots of space. The sitting room has a large L shaped sofa, nooks and crannies, interesting books and art and a large smart TV. There's also a dining table to seat four. There are two lovely bedrooms with good quality mattresses, so you should enjoy a good night's sleep. You'll find good books and views of Edinburgh Castle in one and there's a desk in the other which is perfect for home working. In the bathroom, which has a shower over the bath, you'll be treated to sensational views of Edinburgh Castle whilst you shower. As this is normally a home, the kitchen is well-equipped for dining at home and again, washing up will be a delight with those amazing views. There's a breakfasting table in this room too.

This charming home is located on Warrender Park Road in Marchmont. The Meadows are just around the corner. The brilliant shops, cafes and restaurants of Bruntsfield are a short walk away as are the the fab local independent food shops, boutiques and cafes on Argyle Place. This home is perfect for access to Edinburgh University and George Square and during the Edinburgh Festival, this is a very sought after location.

This home is on the third floor and there is no lift. The views are definitely worth the climb though!
There's storage for a bike next to the front door of the home and some owners in the stairwell leave bikes locked on the ground floor.
24 hour cool-off period: Providing you book more than fourteen days before the start of your stay, you can cancel your booking within 24 hours of making it and we will refund 100% of any charges.
Cancelling after the booking is confirmed: Once a confirmation of booking has been issued to you via email by Dickins, you are responsible for the total price detailed. If you need to cancel, Dickins will try to relet the period for you and if they are successful, you will be reimbursed with the value of the relet less a £75 + VAT charge. If they are not able to relet the period, you will be responsible for the full rental cost. It may be a good idea to make sure you have travel insurance which covers cancellation.

Marchmont
Marchmont is a much loved area of Edinburgh starting at the Meadows and running South to Beaufort Road and from Whitehouse Loan in the West to Causewayside in the East.
It was planned as an area of middle class tenements by Sir George Warrender, who owned an estate in the area known as ‘Warrender Park’ in the mid 19th century. A few streets in the area commemorate his name. It comprises mostly of four storey Victorian residential tenements and nowadays it’s very popular with families and students. Arden Street is where Ian Rankin’s fictional Detective Inspector Rebus lives.
