As in any bigger city, parking can be a bit of a hassle in Edinburgh – and unsurprisingly it doesn’t come cheap either. However, we understand that you might want to bring your car when travelling here, which will be a lot less stressful if you’re staying in one of our apartments with private parking. But first, let’s look at a few Edinburgh parking facts.
Edinburgh parking information
Parking in pay and display bays in Edinburgh comes at a cost of between £2 and £3.80 per hour and there are only four parking holidays with free parking in Edinburgh: Christmas day, Boxing day, New Year’s day and Easter Monday. At the end of 2018 new Sunday charges at the same rates as other days will apply in zones 1-4 between 13pm and 18.30pm. In central Edinburgh you’ll find eight privately owned multi storey car parks. You need to pay for public parking in zones 1-4 (central Edinburgh) Mon-Sat 8.30-18.30 and in zones 5-8 (peripheral Edinburgh) Mon-Fri 8.30-17.30.
