4 Pawtastic Dog Friendly Apartments in Edinburgh
We recently updated our website and introduced the new Dickins Collections: Dog Friendly Homes, Family Friendly Homes, Homes with Parking, Luxury Homes and Most Loved Homes. In this blog we’ll introduce five of our self catering homes that neither you nor your dog will be able to resist!
Leslie Place (Stockbridge)
- sleeps 2
This lovely one bedroom home in the heart of the charming Stockbridge area is a fantastic place to stay in with your pooch. Leslie Place has a shared garden to the rear of the building and on your doorstep you have plenty of cafes, restaurants, shops and pubs to explore – of which many welcome dogs. Just around the corner you’ll find the popular Just Dogs shop which sells natural dog foods, accessories and supplies. The nearby Inverleith Park is the perfect place for your dog to roam free and for a picturesque walk to Dean Village, follow Water of Leith only minutes away from the flat.
Royal Crescent (New Town)
- sleeps 6
Spacious and bright, this three bedroom home in Central New Town is another great alternative for a dog friendly stay in Edinburgh. Turn right when you leave the flat and you’ll find King George V Park only a stone’s throw away and the popular Broughton Street with its abundance of shops and cafes a bit further away. Turn left and you’ll quickly reach Dundas Street where the Dickins office also is. Continue up the hill and past the Queen Street Park and you’ll find the dog friendly contemporary Scottish restaurant The Dogs.
Buccleuch Place (Southside)
- sleeps 2 or 4
This utterly charming and secluded home in Edinburgh’s Southside is one of our most dog friendly self catering apartments. Buccleuch Place can either be rented as a one bedroom or two bedroom home and has a private south facing walled garden that both you and your dog will love to spend time in. It gets even better as this home is right next to the huge Meadows Park where your dog will enjoy making new friends and running about without a care in the world. You won’t be far from the Five Degrees Cafe with Edinburgh’s only dedicated dog menu either
Old Fishmarket Close (Old Town)
- sleeps 4
If you’re visiting Edinburgh as a tourist and want to be near the main attractions we have a contemporary dog welcoming two bedroom home in the heart of the Old Town for you. Old Fishmarket Close is within walking distance of St Giles’ Cathedral, Edinburgh Castle, The National Museum of Scotland and many more must see tourist attractions. Walk down the Royal Mile and you’ll come across Scottish food, drink and gift store Cranachan & Crowdie with it’s own resident shortbread quality control manager, Callie the dog. Continue down the street and you’ll reach Arthur’s Seat with plenty of space for your pooch to run around.
There is a £15 charge per week when staying in one of our homes with a dog, as well as a slightly higher deposit.
