What’s On In Edinburgh – June 2019
It’s almost June and we’re just about halfway through 2019! Edinburgh has been in full bloom this past month and it’s been absolutely gorgeous out. There’s something so rejuvenating about seeing the city come to life through its many growing plants and flowers. Our Managing Director Louise recently shared some thoughts and lovely photos in her post The Prettiest Edinburgh Gardens To See Now. If you’re looking to enjoy a drink outdoors this June, we also wrote about 8 Of The Best Beer Gardens In Edinburgh.
June 2019
There’s a lot happening in Edinburgh this June, so if you’re looking for something to do, you’re in the right place!
From the 20 – 23rd the Royal Highland Show will be celebrating its 179th year. It’s a great day out for people of all ages and a chance to get up close to some of the country’s most incredible livestock. As always there’ll be exceptional food & drink, live music, and competitions to enjoy. The Edinburgh International Film Festival is also back this month, rounding up some of the best in cinematic arts, with dozens of screenings and special events. Film Fest In The City also returns as part of the festival, showing outdoor films in St Andrew Square from the 14-16th June. And for some 90s nostalgia, The Spice Girls will be performing at Murrayfield!
Meanwhile, our theme for June is Food, Glorious Food! There’ll be lots of upcoming posts about where you can sample some of the city’s best cuisine as well as a very exciting competition. We won’t say too much for now… but it does, of course, involve some delicious food!
