What’s On In Edinburgh – July 2019
The temperatures are finally rising here in the capital and the city is truly gearing up for the festival season. Our theme for July is Edinburgh by the Sea, inspired by summer and the beautiful beaches that you’ll find in and around the capital. The sea is perhaps not the first thing one associates with Edinburgh, but you don’t have to go far to discover some of the country’s finest beaches and idyllic seaside splendour. There’s a lot happening in Edinburgh this July, so if you’re looking for something to do, you’re in the right place!
The popular Edinburgh Jazz & Blues Festival is back this month from the 12 – 21st. It’s a great opportunity to discover new music with a huge range of concerts and events happening in venues across the city, many at affordable prices. There are also some free events taking place, like the popular Carnival on Princes Street. Other festivals happening this July include the Edinburgh Food Festival and the Edinburgh Art Festival.
On Saturday 6th July the very first Edinburgh Climate Festival will take place in The Meadows. This family-friendly event aims at celebrating and inspiring climate action with a jam-packed day of upcycling workshops, storytelling, food stalls, and more.
