Our Top 10 Instagram Photos In May
It’s hard to believe that yet another month has whizzed past and that we now find ourselves in June – and with June in summer! We’ve thoroughly enjoyed watching Edinburgh come alive and photographing the greenery, flowers and forever changing skies in May. What can we say? Edinburgh is just so damn pretty and now we have three months of summer to look forward to. Here are our most liked photos from May!
1. Room with a view
We finally did it: we reached 300 likes on one of our photos! We’re thrilled and the photo that accomplished this milestone is the one above; a window looking out on the pretty New Town. Thanks for clicking ‘like’!
2. Wisteria hysteria
Circus Lane is pretty to photograph during any season or day, but a little bit extra pretty when gorgeous wisteria and other flowers are adorning the houses.
3. Falkland Palace & Garden
This beautiful palace in beautiful settings is only one hour from central Edinburgh in Fife and makes the perfect destination for a day trip. The palace and garden are open to visitors from 1st of March to 31st of October.
4. Morris Minor
We spotted this charming vintage car in Stockbridge and had to take a photo and post it on Instagram – surely you can all understand why!
5. Lily Luna Jewellery
Edinburgh is full of pretty little independent shops and Lily Luna on William Street is one of them. Make sure to step in next time you’re around as the jewellery is beautiful too.
6. Stockbridge Colonies
It’s hard to think of another place as idyllic as the Stockbridge Colonies to live in in Edinburgh don’t you think? With Water of Leith flowing past and a great sense of community it’s a great place to live. We actually let a charming self catering apartment here, take a look at 5 Bell Place.
7. Garden flowers
Our new Operations Manager Minty is great with flowers and creates the most beautiful natural bouquets – and she inspires the rest of us in the office to get our there too and make our own creations!
8. Dundas Street
The Dickins office has been on Dundas Street for 20 years now and we wouldn’t have it any other way. On days like these you can see all the way to Fife!
9. The Radical Road
The view from the Radical Road in Holyrood Park is amazing and definitely worth exploring on a mild summer evening.
10. Rock House
Our gorgeous Rock House has been in the press lately with BBC visiting ahead of an exhibition about Hill & Adamson at the National Portrait Gallery – two photography pioneers who accomplished so much. Read more about the Hill & Adamson exhibition here.
