What’s on in May in Edinburgh 2017?
We find it difficult to believe that May is here, partly because it means that there’s only one month to go until summer is officially here! You don’t have to wait until summer to fill up your calendar with exciting events though. The month of May is dedicated to our national drink and has hence been named Whisky Month. We have festivals that cater for every taste; from science, museums and beer to tango, arts and whisky of course.
On the 27th of May the National Portrait Gallery opens an exhibition with photographs by Hill & Adamson – two pioneers of early photography. What makes this exhibition even more interesting is the fact that Dickins lets the house where this talented duo worked and lived in from 1843 to 1848. It’s called Rock House and it is, without a doubt, one of the most special and unique places to stay when visiting Edinburgh!
