There are exciting things happening at Dickins at the moment and we’re delighted that we can finally share with you our brand new Concierge Service! We want to ensure that all our guests have the very best time in our Edinburgh short-term let apartments so we’ve created our Concierge Service at Dickins.
We’ve hand-picked a group of special people and companies who we know can help make your stay extra special. We’ve tried to think of everything from a babysitting service to drinks delivered to your home. 1. Housekeeping Services
Our homes are self–catering, but if you’re here on holiday we understand that many of you may like to sit back and relax and if that’s the case, we offer a range of housekeeping services which we’d be delighted to arrange for you. This can include cleaning and tidying of the home and changing the bedding too. For this service, we use our own housekeepers who do a brilliant job and we trust them completely. We’ll let you know how many hours you’ll need to book and you can let us know how often you require the service.
The cost is £35 for 2 hours, £52.50/3 hours and £70/4 hours. Linen can be laundered at a cost of £20/set including the bedding and towels. For more information, please email our Operations Manager Tory at [email protected]
2. Executive Car Services
For airport transfers and travel within Edinburgh and beyond we recommend Little’s. They were established in 1966 and are a proud family business that provides a highly tailored executive chauffeur service. In Scotland, they own and operate over 45 luxury vehicles and their team is available 24/7 to organise chauffeur driven travel for airport transfers and luxury sightseeing tours. With a fine selection of Mercedes, Jaguar and Lexus on fleet, their fully uniformed chauffeurs will ensure your travel is seamless.

3. Meet and Greet Service
You’ll need to collect and drop the keys for your Dickins homes from our office at 17 Dundas Street. If you’re unable to do this for any reason, then we’d recommend Lewis who can collect or drop keys back to our office and meet you at the home. The charge for this is £25 and you just need to book this service directly with him.

4. Babysitting and Nanny Service
If you’re staying in a Dickins home with your children and need babysitting services or if you’re here for more than just a holiday and need more permanent nanny services, then we recommend The Care Necessities. They are a bespoke boutique childcare agency who understand the pressure of modern family life and design their services around your routine. They are registered with The Care Inspectorate, Disclosure Scotland and the Protecting Vulnerable Groups Scheme (PVG). Offering more than simply ‘sitting,’ they supply experienced, reliable and talented care providers to families with children of all ages. Ideally, give them as much notice as possible, but it’s still worth trying them with as little as 12 hours notice.

5. Drinks Delivered to your Home
Rather than wasting time, queueing at a checkout and lugging home bottles of wines and gins etc. for your stay, why not order directly from Drinkly who will deliver the drinks, chilled to your door within one hour. Drinkly is an Edinburgh based company who offer a great selection of over 600 products: the UK’s favourite wines, beers and spirits alongside some fantastic local gems too. They’ve even got the ice and garnishes covered!

Featured Home: 140/5 Dundas Street
There’s a lovely vibe in this two bedroom home Edinburgh holiday let at 140/5 Dundas Street. It sits above useful local shops and in a great location as George Street is less than 10 minutes walk about and Stockbridge is just around the corner along Henderson Row. Lots of buses go up and down Dundas Street connecting the New Town to the Old Town.
